If left alone, I could easily spend a solid week just working on detailed SEO plans involving thousands of backlinks, link wheels, ghost sites, web 2.0 properties, etc

So, trust me when I say that I realize how overwhelming SEO can seem day-to-day.

I don't want to push some new trick on you -- there's more than enough information like that available. In fact, in my mind, SEO is so stupidly simple that you don't really need all that garbage -- which is why I don't play that game. I just focus on backlinks and let everything else naturally fall into place.
